Some Highlights of the Institute

Since the law is a social engineering, therefore the objects of the college is not only to prepare conscious competent members of the legal profession, though it remains its basic mandate but the college is expected to advance and assimilate knowledge of law & legal processes in the context of national development. In other words the college shall endeavor to look at law as an instrument of social change and human well being.
To achieve the above target the programme of court visit under the proper supervision of law teachers is also being organized to witness actual court proceedings and watch the arguments of various eminent lawyers before the judges. They are provided with an opportunity to see the methods of keeping records of the cases; as such student may learn lots before leaving after completing the three years course of study and be useful for the society.
To solve the practical problems and to learn court procedure, several moot courts in civil and criminal cases are also being arranged for the students, seminars on various current topics, legal aid camps and legal illiteracy camps are also being organized by the institution. In these extra curricular activities, the participation of law students remained worth-appreciable in past.

Class Room lectures: Well qualified core faculty members, resource personnel deliver lectures on Law subjects.
Class Studies: To sharpen the analytical and decision making skills of the students Faculty members will discus case studies regularly.
Seminars: To develop confidence and recognize their pitfalls, seminars presentation is made a part of the curriculum.
Guest Lectures: Several eminent scholars and Legal luminaries will be invited to deliver lectures on current topics relating to law.
Educational Tours: To impart practical training relating to proceedings of Civil and Criminal Law Courts, visit of District and Session Courts, High Courts and Supreme Court will be arranged.
Moot Courts: The compulsory practical Training through moot courts is a part of Curriculum. The students are introduced to learn through Moot Court. They are required to prepare arguments on behalf of the plaintiff or defendants or are asked to sit as a judge and deliver judgment of a case presented before the Moot Court. The purpose is to teach them to speak with confidence and inculcate the habit to self study and of reading the law journal, reports and periodicals. Every case presented before Moot Court is followed by a discussion. For participating in the Moot Court the students are required to wear dress prescribed by the college for the purpose.

The soul of the any college is its library and the standards of books. It is necessary to have not just a library but a rich library to meets the specific requirements of expecting professionals and engaged teachers. Our library has large number of books including text books and rare, excellent reference books of renowned Indian and foreign authors. Besides books the library has a vast reading room with subscription of renowned journals and periodicals including All India Reporter, Criminal Law Journal, Supreme Court Decisions magazine, High courts decisions magazine [ both in Hindi ] Raj. Criminal decisions, Consumer Protection Journal, Indian Bar Review, Indian Socio-Legal Journal and a vast number of weekly, fortnightly and monthly magazines to enrich the general awareness and knowledge of the students.
Book Bank facility is also available for students; under this facility students may borrow a prescribed numbers of books for the entire session. The library provides photocopying facilities to the students. The library of our college has the rare distinction to be of being the first electronic law general library of Bikaner region, inaugurated on 5.5.2005. by then Vice Chancellor Dr. Vimlendu Tayal and former president of Raj.Bar council Sh. R.K. Dass Gupta.

Our Library has INTERNET facilities consisting of 5 NET Worked terminal for providing recent and most comprehensive acess of E-Journais & other E-references to the faculty members and students, including AIR High Court Bata base, Criminal ' Law Journal data base, AIR Privy Council data base, Air online Institutional Version Subscription, All India Reporter Journal, Criminal Law Journal, Lab our & Industrial Cases, AIR Law Lines, AIR Civil Cases, AIR Accidental Claims & Compesation, AIR Cheque Dishonour Reports. Wi-Fi system and Scanning, photocopying facilities are also available in our Campus

Our college has operational Laboratory in which students of Diploma in legal and forensic science are taught how to examine and compare disputed signatures, handwritings and thumb prints. Comparison of chance finger prints, foot prints and shoe prints. Student are taught how to prepare expert opinion on disputed signature, handwriting and thumb prints and method of presentation of expert opinion in the court of justice. Laboratory is well equipped with necessary instruments and equipments such as Microscope, different type of magnifying glasses, Linen Tester, different type of finger print powders and brushes, Finger print recording kits, Foot print, Shoe print lifter kits, Domestic weapons, Human Skeleton etc. The practical work is learnt by Dr. lqbal Ahamed usta,former Director state Finger print Bureau,Raj.Jaipur.

A unit of NSS was established in the year 2004. The motto of NSS "not me but you", reflects the essence of democrative living and upholds the need for self less service. NSS helps the students develop appreciation to other person's point of view.
Some of the important services which are rendered by NSS volunteers are disseminating information about the latest development about sanitation, personal hygiene, government schemes, legal aid, consumer protection, plantation etc.
Regular and special camping programme are being organized by NSS volunteers generally on various development issue of social importance.
Sarvodya Basti, a slum area of Bikaner City has been adopted by the college for the Implementation of NSS programs.
